The Show-Me State has reason to direct planners to look its way after a new survey by travel website Trivago ranked Branson (No. 1) and Springfield (No. 7) among Missouri’s cities with the best value per travel dollar. The website devised its rankings by creating an algorithm combining the average price of a standard double room with the average rating Trivago’s users give the city’s hotels. Destinations with at least 50 hotels and a minimum of 150 user ratings were considered. Here are the cities with the best value, according to the study:

  1. Branson, Mo.
  2. Macon, Ga.
  3. Montgomery, Ala.
  4. Wichita, Kan.
  5. Sioux Falls, S.D.
  6. Lincoln, Neb.
  7. Springfield, Mo.
  8. Little Rock, Ark.
  9. Augusta, Ga.
  10. Tulsa, Okla.
