This list could begin and end with this mammoth project, one of Marriott’s biggest. There are 1,501 rooms, 485,000 square feet of convention center space and an extensive indoor/outdoor water park on a sprawling 85-acre site overlooking Denver’s skyline.
Hyatt Regency Seattle
The 45-story property in downtown Seattle is the largest hotel in the Pacific Northwest. With 103,000 square feet of event space, it’s large enough for most associations and corporate groups. While business should boom right away, wait until 2022, when the Washington State Convention Center expansion project is complete.
Conrad Washington, D.C.
This luxury property with 32,000 square feet of elevated meeting space is this Hilton brand’s first location in the nation’s capital. Elevate, a women’s leadership conference presented by the Association for Women in Events, is among the first events to use the new hotel.
Hotel Bennett, Charleston, S.C.
This 179-room, $100 million-plus full-service property on what used to be a library site, is worth studying. With 12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, hotel staff are eying conferences board meetings, fundraisers, galas and incentive trips in the historic city.
SpringHill Suites, Residence Inn and AC Hotels, Nashville
This 470-room triple-branded hotel is Marriott’s first triple-branded property. Located in Nashville’s popular SoBro neighborhood, it is across the street from the Music City Center and steps from the Country Music Hall of Fame.
