What she does: Dixon operates more than 100 annual high-level programs for a DMC, overseeing all logistics. Destinations by Design is a one-stop shop for decor, floral, entertainment, transportation and staff.

What I really do: “Tons of paperwork, hanging out at the airport and having fun setting up events.”

How I got here: “I received a Bachelor of Science in meeting and events management and worked my way through the industry, from an event assistant to my current position.”

Greatest career accomplishments: Earning her CMP at the age of 23 and being the youngest director of events for her company.

Next-working: “I am a member of National Association for Catering and Events and sit on the program committee. I am part of several organizations including International Live Events Association [formerly ISES], Fresh Female Professionals and Vegas Young Professionals. Networking is my hobby.”
