37, Director of National Sales
Visit Mesa, Mesa, Ariz.

What she does: Denison collaborates with association meeting planners from organizations such as National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association and United States Lavender Growers Association, helping them identify the best hotel/venue fit for their programs’ needs. “I also provide insights and inspiration as to what they can do to create a memorable group program, whether that be off-site programming or dining details,” she says.

How she got here: She has been a corporate meeting planner, a hotel sales manager and an account executive for Marriott. In 2012, she was awarded Marriott International Chairman’s Circle Achievement, which is given to the top 1 percent of company sales achievers worldwide.

Next-level numbers: “I have led my team to increase national sales room nights by 510 percent and economic impact by 378 percent year over year. Currently, I am at 139 percent of my room night goal YTD and 145 percent of my booking goal YTD.”

What’s next: “I am working on a program called the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Region VIII. This is the first time Mesa will play host to this program, and since it resonates with my personal love for music and the piano, it’s been a standout for me to help bring it here.”
