2016 40 Under 40: Jessica Rienecker

By Connect Staff, March 16, 2016

jessica ReineckerJessica Rienecker, CTA, CTP, CMM
31, Western Region Meeting Sales Director
Visit Anaheim, Anaheim, Calif.

How I got here: “I had my eye on a job at the CVB, and it took a few tries and interviewing for different positions before I finally worked my way into the organization. The staff has so much seniority and tenure that breaking in was tough—but worth the wait.”

Superstar stats: Throughout 2015, Rienecker contributed to 120 percent growth in the number of leads from the Western region meetings market. “For 2016 so far, bookings are up 130 percent over last year, and the team is pacing to crush 2015’s numbers,” she says.

Next-gen thinking: “Business is moving away from formal presentations and toward relationship-building more than ever. I am excited about new ways to interact with customers at events that are focused more on connecting and less on a sales pitch.”
