How I got here: “A lifelong resident of Columbus, I got the opportunity to intern with Experience Columbus’ events department while attending The Ohio State University. I was hired as a convention sales assistant following graduation, then became a convention sales manager in various markets and was recently promoted to national sales manager overseeing the national association market.”

Next-level idea: Through a partnership with Designer Shoe Warehouse, headquartered in Columbus, Experience Columbus hosted meeting planners in DSW stores before the doors opened for the day. “I developed, executed and streamlined the program. A shoe store is a perfect [place to host meeting planners] since our main selling point is our walkable convention package. We then gave everyone a gift card to shop for shoes.”
