Grinstead began her hospitality career in the association world where she worked in three associations of varied size and focus. One was for members with a common avocation, one was a retail trade association and one had members who were local government employees. Each was unique in size and in common interest. Grinstead now serves as sales manager for Visit Lubbock and focuses on associations, government and corporate events.

Career Accomplishments
When Grinstead served as a manager in the corporate world, she had the chance to identify a staff member to step up into a management role. She gave her colleague direction and expectations, and allowed her to find her confidence to lead the others on her team.
