What I do: I manage the department responsible for production of five national horse shows held all over the United States and Canada. I am lucky to have three great employees who assist me in managing hundreds of contract staff, working with facilities and vendors, and managing all aspects of creating brilliant events. In the past year, my business partner and I have also started our own event management and marketing company, Cowgirl Creative LLC. We hope to grow our company into a lasting venture that brings an understanding of events and marketing strategies to the equine and agricultural industry.

How I got here: I grew up in the equine industry with a passion for animals and horses. It was a natural fit for me to continue my education at Colorado State University and complete a bachelor’s degree in equine sciences and a master’s in business management practice. I developed my career in event planning through many associations and organizations dedicated to producing great events, such as the Pinto Horse Association of America, Horsepower Inc. and The Ranch in Loveland, before making my way to the Arabian Horse Association.

My greatest career accomplishment: I am so proud of the new company my business partner and friend, Julian, and I just started. It is something that was in the works for a while and we finally took the leap. We are both excited to see what becomes of it.
