What I do: I work with key clients nationwide within the association, government and corporate market segments. Additionally, I ensure the hotel is maximizing all company, government, brand and local Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority programs through representation and evaluation.

How I got here: I was fortunate enough to run into my current director of sales, Andrew Ladd, at a local ribbon-cutting ceremony prior to accepting my current position. I had a unique opportunity to either join the region’s largest resort/casino or an independent boutique hotel that was changing the way people viewed Reno. I chose Whitney Peak Hotel.

My greatest career accomplishments: I was appointed to Gov. Brian Sandoval’s Workforce Development board of directors for 2016-18, and I became the youngest executive committee and board member for the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce at the age of 27.

See how a $20 million renovation imparted a design overhaul and changed MICE prospects for the 90-year-old Talbott Hotel in Chicago’s Gold Coast.

Strong relationships between DMOs/CVBs and convention centers are the backbone of cities that successfully earn meetings business.

To be a more effective negotiator, meeting planners will learn how hotels evaluate their businesses and manage their inventory of space, rates and dates.
