A New Idea: Movie Theater Meetings

By Kelsey Ogletree, September 9, 2016

Why go to dinner, then a movie when you can have dinner at the movies? That’s the idea behind dine-in movie theater concepts like CineBistro that have popped up around the country in recent years. Now one cinema brand is elevating that experience for movie theater meetings for convention groups.

Hosting events makes perfect sense for Cinépolis USA, which currently has 16 theaters around the United States in Southern California, Florida, New Jersey, Connecticut and New York. Its luxury theaters have reclining leather seats, private butlers, and an impressive food menu and cocktail list. Companies such as Aston Martin, Belvedere, ITG, Hewlett-Packard and Wells Fargo have booked one of the theaters for private events recently, using the large-format screens for presentations and hosting post-con receptions with local craft beer and wine.
