CIC Updates Industry Glossary for CMP Exam

By Stephanie Davis Smith, April 12, 2016

It’s spring, and most students just came off spring break—but not those studying for their CMP.

In late March, the Convention Industry Council released its 2016 Industry Glossary, a must-have for industry professionals studying for the exam. “Many entries were edited for relevance, while about 75 terms were added and many were also removed,” says Kasey Connors, director of marketing for CIC. More than 150 CMP volunteers helped to update the glossary, which defines 1,400 terms.

“Food and beverage language, such as gluten-free, and bandwidth terminology are an addition, as well as the British/English style guide as we go more global,” adds Connors. E-book, $70; Hard copy, $100, conventionindustry.org
