Now Open: The Alexander

By Connect Staff, March 11, 2013

Indianapolis’ newest hotel opened in January in the downtown CityWay neighborhood. The Alexander, a Dolce property, is named after Alexander Ralston, an architect who co-designed the city in the early 1800s. The hotel also ties in local culture by featuring artwork from area artists. It adds 209 guest rooms and 16,500 square feet of meeting space to the city’s inventory. The 3,520-sq.-ft. ballroom hosts 350 for receptions, and a 12-person penthouse boardroom is complete with a wraparound terrace. The latter space is also available for receptions of up to 40. Outdoor options include a 6,500-sq.-ft. plaza, and three of the breakout rooms have access to a terrace.
