Site Visit: Hotel Monaco Philadelphia

By sheer osmosis, attendees will leave meetings in Philadelphia inspired by the thought principles of America’s founding fathers—especially if you book them at Kimpton’s Hotel Monaco Philadelphia in the center of the city’s historic district. Themed with a modern take on the American Revolution, the hotel is steps away from Independence National Historic Park, where the Declaration of Independence was created and where the Liberty Bell resides.

The 268-room hotel has 13,000 square feet of meeting space available throughout six meeting rooms including the 3,237-sq.-ft Lafayette Ballroom, which overlooks Independence National Historic Park. Feast like a patriot in a series of private dining rooms that can accommodate anywhere from 10 to 300 guests.

Views of the Philadelphia skyline are visible from the Stratus Rooftop Lounge on the 11th floor, one of the few rooftop social spots in the city. Philly cheesesteaks can be devoured at a slew of surrounding restaurants (favorites are Pat’s, Geno’s and Tony Luke’s), and the city’s iconic art, music and theater scenes offer plenty of post-meeting entertainment options.
