INSIDER SERIES | Dana Saal, Association for Preservation Technology International

By Connect Staff, February 19, 2014

Dana Saal has been in the event planning industry for more than 27 years, and when she started planning meetings, some of the topics of key concern for planners were how to handle slide projectors that don’t work or how to use transparencies on an overhead projector. Saal’s biggest challenge today centers around the need to expose the academics who attend the annual conference for the Association for Preservation Technology International to new learning styles and event technologies. “I’m balancing the opportunities they’re missing with what they want, and I’m trying to convince them they want something else.”
