INSIDER SERIES | How Technology Is Changing Events

By Connect Staff, August 11, 2014

In this Insider Series episode, three meeting planners discuss the integration of technology into their events. Kyle Jordan of Synergos shares his experience with attendees utilizing new platforms to talk about what they want from their events. “We have seen a tremendous influx of our attendees using social media to provide both compliments and complaints,” he says. Apps such as Twitter and Instagram allow you to generate real-time feedback while giving you the opportunity to directly communicate with your attendees and keep your meetings interactive, he says. Irving Washington with the Online News Association and Dana Saal, an independent meetings professional, also talk about how technology can be used as a tool for education.
